Collector and inspectors who are contractors

I ran into the case with Collector to be used by some inspectors who are contractors - They do not have ArcGIS online organizational account. Is there a way to get them to use their Gmail or LiveID with collector? Is there a plan to make this work in the future?  What does ESRI recommends for contractors?

If the inspectors are contractors for your organization, you can add them to your ArcGIS Online organization account.  From what I've been told by Esri, this is within the acceptable use of the license agreement.  If you do not have enough users on your account, you will need to get more.
