Inconsistency in data between Web map and experience builder data source

Question

I have an experience builder app.
In my operation, I have to update the feature layer (features as well as layer name) and related web map on frequent basis which are used in the experience builder app.

While updating these feature layer and related web map, I have been facing inconsistency in the experience builder side.

Although the web map is saved with latest feature layer name, the data source in experience builder continues to show the old name. The connected feature layer is the latest but the name remains the old one.

The effect is observed on the layer widget and table widget also, which shows the old name though the features are the updated one.

Has anyone faced the same issue? Any known cause or recommended solution to solve this inconsistency?

Hi @dipendrasunuwar,

In ArcGIS Online, if you change the name of a web map or layer, ArcGIS Experience Builder will not update it immediately. You need to refresh the app to see the changes.

I was having this issue, and my first thought was how are your data sources registered in the ExB?  If you have a web map here, and you access the data sources via the web map, and it gives you the layers within it that's one way.  However, in my picture do you see the separate Feature Layer that is not grouped under the map?

I've had layers behave differently because I was making changes in the web map, but they were registered outside of the webmap in ExB, and were listed here as their own data source, just like that Feature Layer.

This then trickled down to my widgets, because I had them pointing at the separately registered feature layer, instead of the layers within the map.
