Ahoj,

zajímalo by mě, jestli můžete připojit Maps pro SharePoint k přihlášení do Portal/Enterprise místo ArcGIS online?

Děkuji!

ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint on Prem (Server or Foundation) Supports both ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise connections.
ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint 365 only supports ArcGIS Online connections (https://doc.arcgis.com/en/maps-for-sharepoint/office-365/install-and-configure/supported-environments.htm)
Hi Jon
Are there plans for adding ArcGIS Enterprise to ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint 365 in the near future?. Thanks, Andres
I also have this question
I can confirm that ArcGIS for SharePoint modern supports arcgis enterprise connections. As of 10.13.2021 the documentation does not include this. I am working on getting this fixed.
@FionaRenton1
We were able to enable ArcGIS for SharePoint using the new vewrsion of the app available in the SharePoint store. What we still can not figre out is what kind of permissions have to be assigned from the SP Admin side in order for me to be able to geotag. While geotagging got enabled, I still get a message that i don't have sufficient permission even though the SP Admin assigned me everything he could think of.
I already have links to ESRI article that proved to be of little help to my SP Admin. So, please don't post them as a response to my post.
So, for those who are trying to deploy ArcMaps for SharePoint:
My personal experience with trying to deploy this app - ArcMaps for SharePoint are the worst explained by ESRI deployment of ESRI products. Other than a single link to a one or two page somewhere in their instructions - you won't find to much helpful info anywhere else. The problem is not in difficulty of using the actual app once it is deployed, but in a bare-minimum of instructions on how to deploy it from the Sharepoint Admin stand point. Remember, that your SP Admins might know nothing about the GIS or what the adpp itself is supposed to do.
Hi Julia--
Thanks for your feedback. Regarding the issue you are experiencing with geotag/geosearch, can you please let me know if your SP account was added to the term store by your SP admin? If no, can you please request your SP admin to add your SP account to the term store and then try the geotag/geosearch feature?
Let me know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks,
Raaj
Hi @JonEmch or @AdeyinkaAdekunle ,
Can you please advise of any timeframe for ArcGIS Maps for SharePoint 365 to support ArcGIS Enterprise? As an organisation with thousands of ArcGIS Enterprise members and all our key datasets in Enterprise, using ArcGIS Online with Sharepoint is not an option.
Most med-large orgs are moving to Microsoft 365 for primary services such as AD and Sharepoint, so not having an integration between 365 Sharepoint and ArcGIS Enterprise is a real problem.
Marc
Any updates on this? looks like i am still forced to sign into arcgis online when I really want to sign into our portal...
@Marc_Graham
Since the 2021 release, ArcGIS for SharePoint supports ArcGIS Online and ArcGIS Enterprise. Please make sure you have the latest version of the app which can be downloaded from the MS store.

Please let me know if you have any further questions.

Hello,
ArcGIS for SharePoint supports both ArcGIS Online as well as ArcGIS Enterprise.
On the main sign in page after you add the "ArcGIS for SharePoint" app to a SharePoint page, you will see the default option which is ArcGIS Online. But you should also see a second option "Enter url address", which should allow you to enter the url for your enterprise portal.
Also, please make sure you have the latest version of the app which can be downloaded from the MS store.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Hi, I have version ArcGIS for SharePoint (2024.2.2.1888) There is no option to use enterprise. There is no Enterprise log in.Both options force me to log into arcgis OnlineArcGIS Login points to arcgis online, as you can see from the screenshots below:
Your ArcGIS organization's URL (Points to arcgis online)Internally with things like pro I have the option to log into either portal or online.
@TheGreenOrange - Can you send me a screen recording showing the ArcGIS for SharePoint UI?
Hi, This is what my initial sign in screen looks like:
Then when I click on "Sign In" I am presented with the popup screen with the option forArcGIS Login or Your ArcGIS organization's URL account, like I just posted. Both of these take me to our arcgis onlinelike i said, I do not see any option for Enterprise login. What should it look like? I think there is something missing here.
@TheGreenOrange - Can you try clearing cache and reload the page? Once you do that, you should see the initial sign in screen which should allow you to select "Enter URL address" where you can enter your Enterprise portal url.
Please let me know if you are still don't see the initial sign in screen.
I can try, but I only got this installed two days ago and it's always been like this, both Firefox and Edge. i am talking to our Sharepoint team to see if there's an internal restriction in place or something preventing it. i gave them the URL of one our TEST portal.
Can you show me what the initial sign in screen should look like? I can pass this on to our Sharepoint team for them to see.
@TheGreenOrange - Here's a screenshot of the initial sign-in screen. You can also ask your Microsoft admin to set up the connection strings (in case you don't want to manually enter the portal URL) to your portal which would allow you to pick the portal from the drop-down that you'd like to connect to. I've blurred out the connection strings set up in my Microsoft tenant.
At the very bottom of the list, you can see the "Enter URL address" option. Once you select that option, you will see a text box where you can enter the URL for your portal.
Hope this helps.
I don't see that. This is what I see:
Then when I click on the orange sign in bar, I get this, both of which take me to our argis online account:
also, I cannot save anything. Where is the save button in the app? Everytime I refresh, I lose all my work.
@TheGreenOrange,
Can you try deleting or removing the "ArcGIS" web part from the SharePoint page and add it once again? When you add it once again, you should see the option to select a different ArcGIS environment.
Hi, yes i did that already and it hasn't made any difference. But a more immediate problem right now is that I cannot save anything in the map. I can add data from the sharepoint list, symbolise it, then add data from our arcgis online account etc. but if I reload the page or click on the site's home page or anything on the side menu to view something else then go back, everything is gone. i have to add in the data all over again. I'm still signed it. Also if I sign out and sign in to our argic online account, the data is gone as well. There's no persistence here. Like i said earlier, there's no save button that I can see.
@TheGreenOrange ,
In SharePoint, you will need to set the page in "Edit" mode before you begin to add layers to the map and when you are ready to "publish", you can hit the "publish" or "republish" button on the top right corner to save the page. You also have the option to "save as draft" (shown in the screenshot below) if you are not ready to "publish" the page yet.
ok...I think I have got it working now. Had some help from our sharepoint people. Thanks for your help.
You're welcome! 😊
It's been a while, just wondering what you, or your SharePoint team did to resolve the issue where you only had the ArcGIS Online login button.
