ArcGIS Explorer historical imagery slider bar

This was suggested by other users for implementation in ArcGIS Online, but I think ArcGIS Explorer would also benefit from the ability to view imagery using a slider bar to dynamically shift back and forth between historic and current datasets from within the viewer without having to open up supplemental menus/toolbars. This would be helpful when looking at things such as land use change or shoreline loss/gain over a certain time period.
