read-out of license number on machines

It would be nice to have a way to read-out the used license number on a machine where ArcGIS Desktop 10 is installed. In 9.3.2 there was a lic file on the local hard drive. Though I do understand that it is not the best way to give the license number in plain text in a lic file, it would be nice ans very useful to be able to find out which license number has been used for registering ArcGIS Desktop an a machine.
