Cascade Title Video

Question

I've seen several Cascade Story Maps with looping videos behind the Title, but I'm wondering how to do this myself. When I try to add an MP4 video it won't allow it because the format is not supported. The only similar format supported in the background is .gif. I've looked into converting MP4 to .gif, but the quality would drastically change. Do I have to source my video from a platform (like YouTube?) or am I missing something? The footage I have for the title is epic and I really want to use it. Would appreciate any help regarding this.

Thanks, just wanted to make sure. Vimeo, as opposed to YouTube, seems to play videos in my storymap at higher quality and without lagging while trying to replay. It works well!

Hello Evan -- As you suspected, putting the video on YouTube or Vimeo is required to get the cover video to loop. These services are optimized for serving video in the manner required to ensure it performs properly in your story map.
