please, see the image below that shows my suggestion.

Sometimes, we need to sort the data according the date the same we we do in windows! but unfortunately, we don't have yet this feature in ArcGIS yet.

How about size as well. Name and Type alone can hardly be considered a "detailed view"

I don't need all the bells and whistles, but I do need to see the date. Versions? You can't tell much without the date. Please enable a view with the date otherwise I am slowed down having to open a windows explorer box every time I need to add data.
