Register Dynamic Layers as Items in ArcGIS Online

Currently the only way to add ArcGIS Server Dynamic Layers to ArcGIS Online is to add them directly to the Web Map. If we have over 2000 of these layers we want to share to Open Data, we would want to register them as Items in the contents page and share to the Open Data Group. However, ArcGIS Server Dynamic Layers is not a supported Item at this time. Please make this an enhancement.
