ArcGIS Online Layer did not draw completely

Whenever viewing a feature layer published by ArcGIS Online, it does not let you see the whole dataset if the data has more than 1000 features. The error of "Layer did not draw completely because there are too many features to display in this area of the map. Try zooming in or setting the visibility range for the layer." shows up instead.

If I can do it through my own ArcGIS Server, why can't ArcGIS Online servers do it?

They can do it, but imagine the load if they allowed everyone to publish unconstrained or just BIG services.  In the meantime, though, I definitely think they need to enhance the options for the warning message. I posted an idea titled "Layer did not draw completely" with some thoughts on it, if you'd like to promote that one too.
