Using the "Trace" geoprocessing tool, when you set the "Output" section...a search field for the lookup would be helpful

There is no specific lookup tool. However, if you know what you are looking for, the tool has an auto-complete built into it. So you can type the output you are looking for, and the system will help you type it in correctly, and find what you are looking for. In the drop down, you will be taken to the location where what you have typed is located, providing some help navigating the pane.
