Certifications was the topic of the October T3G Webinar. Many thanks to our guest presenter, Jessica Rosales, from the Esri Technical Certification team. Some of you may recognize Jessica from a past T3G Institute, or from a workshop or booth at the Esri conference in San Diego. Charlie Fitzpatrick discussed certifications in general, and then Jessica answered many of the questions that educators like you have, especially about the ArcGIS Desktop Entry certification.
Why do people get certified? Can high school students take the exam? How can teachers align their curriculum to the exam? What can teachers and students do to prepare? What is the process to sign up and take an exam? Are exams keeping pace with the software updates?
