ArcGIS ‘Local Search’ configuration

Can the ArcGIS ‘local search’ settings be configured via a registry setting (or config file) at 10.2?

I see that at 10.0 this was configurable at %AppData%\Roaming\ESRI\Desktop10.0\ArcCatalog\SearchIndex\Configs\DesktopIndex.cfg, but this file is not present at 10.2
