Hi Don - is there a documented road map for updates to ArcGIS for AutoCAD and future releases with planned features and functionalities?
Thanks,
Dave
The next release of ArcGIS for AutoCAD 400 will include full support for Portal and Online named users (scheduled for release summer 2019). It has been re-architected as an implementation of ArcGIS Runtime. It will include support for ArcGIS Online/Portal hosted services and map layers. It will have an new add data experience that understands your named user identity, organization groups etc. The data browser will help guide you to more and relevant content such as direct access to the living atlas. As a by-product of the Runtime implementation, this release will also support feature layers shared with table joins. The map service draw behavior has been enhanced for faster uninterrupted dynamic map service behavior that I think people will like. It "should" also by that time support any newer version of AutoCAD.
There are lots of additional functionality in our roadmap competing for attention in future releases. Is there something you are specifically looking for sooner than later?

Hi Don -
Can you tell me a little bit more about what you mean by 'architected as an implementation of ArcGIS Runtime'? Will there be native capabilities to import a CAD drawing into ArcGIS Runtime?
Matt
Don Kuehne checking in to see if 400 is available. Needing this for our AutoCAD users since Jan 2019. Do you have a more refined release date for us?
The implementation detail regarding "runtime" is probably an unnecessary detail to share. The next release does not include file based access. ArcGIS for AutoCAD is an AutoCAD plug-in application so it already supports CAD.
Updated release date at the time of writing this looks more like late fall 2019.
This release should support imagery services hosted from ArcGIS Organization Online, is that still correct?
Is it possible to announce when it is released from this blog post here?
Thanks either way Don Kuehne
Is this update different from Autodesk Connector for ArcGIS?
Is there any update for the planned release of this update?
The 400 Beta Release of ArcGIS for AutoCAD is now available here:

Got a question for the group on the "AutoDesk Connector for ArcGIS" Civil 3D. When I sign into my portal the only content I can get to work is the content shared publicly. Any content not shared publicly the wheel just spins forever with no error message?
Anyone know anything about this??
Many thanks Don, I appreciate you following up from this thread, thank you. I was just sitting with one of our Engineers attempting to add our 2019 imagery service into the CAD session. We got an error reading something similar to 'this is unavailable', but our feature services can be found and added without issue. Can you confirm that adding imagery data from the following URLs is available from within ArcGIS for AutoCAD OR if I am simply doing it wrong? Thanks Don, hoping for the latter
If ArcGIS for AutoCAD can consume a webmap of all the 2019 views you can use this URL
https://acogis.maps.arcgis.com/home/webmap/viewer.html?webmap=da244f12e35a4413b4d6dd1e9190818a
IF NOT then we’ll have to add each of the 2019 services individually

Thanks again for your continued support
Hello Don,
A colleague of mine has installed the most recent beta version of ArcgisForAutocad and there is an error whenever he wants to add a hosted feature layer through Data by URL. The following errors in the command line appear: does not support curves, does not support Zs
Any idea why this error is showing?
Kind regards,
Baran
Gentle reminder that discussion of details about the beta should be limited to the beta forums, not done here.

In answer to your question, however, those are just notices, not errors. When you publish an enterprise service, you choose whether or not the service supports curves or is Z aware. In a hosted feature layer, curves are not supported.
Thanks Karen, got a link or a specific place where I can successfully post and get an answer to my standing question? Looking to have AutoCAD folks consume our imagery from within their CAD session, is this still going to be accomplished with this release? Honestly I thought this was an actual release and not a 'beta' release, but I'll work with it however, please just let me know where to go and I will, no sweat.
Hi,
Any update on the release of build 400 out of beta? Looking forward to deploying this in my org.
Hi Austen,
The team is on the final legs of finishing up what we need to do to get the software out to release. Things can change, but I would expect it will be out by the end of this month.
Great to hear Randy! Is it possible to download it when ready via the My Org/Downloads tab in My Esri? Seems one of the few products I can't download there.
Damon,
This is the current functionality of ArcGIS for AutoCAD 370, the 400 version of ArcGIS for AutoCAD has full support for user identity on your portal. To get a preview of the new version you can download the beta version here: ArcGIS for AutoCAD Beta.
