Reinstalled ArcGis Desktop 10.2.2 and now I get message saying Invalid geodatabase release

I had to reinstall Windows 7 after Windows 10 crashed and then reinstall ArcGis Desktop. The computer could never get past the Advanced Diagnostics Screen so I had to remove the driive and use another computer to copy my files. After re-installation and copying the files back I get an error message when trying to access my file geodtabase.

Failed to connect to database

This release of the GeoDatabase is either invalid or out of date [Invalid Geodatabase release].

How can this be when it was created using the same version of arcmap?

Help. I have three years worth of data trapped in this geodatabase.

I'd suggest you to run the Recover File Geodatabase—Help | ArcGIS Desktop and log a case with Esri Technical Support for analysis and hopefully to salvage your data.

The Geodatabase could have been corrupted.

Are you able to create new geodatabases

No, I did not. I re-installed with the same download from 2014 when I purchased it.

What kind of a geodatabase are you working with? (.gdb, .mdb. sde)
I assume the geodatabase that is giving the issue was created using the same version?
Does it allow you to view the contents inside the geodatabase?
Have you tried accessing the geodatabase using a different user profile on the same machine? (If that is a feasible option)
What happens if you try to open the geodatabase on a different machine?
Try Recover File Geodatabase—Help | ArcGIS Desktop see if it works?

It is a .gdb database.

Yes, it was created using the same version.

No, It will not allow you to view the contents of the database.

I sent it to an associate and neither he nor his partner could access it.

Have not tried it using a different user profile because I only have one profile set up.
