Cartogram

Question

What are people using to make cartograms?  Back in the day I used the Cartogram Geoprocessing tool by Tom Gross (at Esri) with ArcMap version 9.x.  The original link on the ArcScritps page appears to now be missing, but there's an overview of the tool in this article.  Is there an updated version of this tool or a replacement for ArcPro?

Nice! That is very effective.

Perhaps we need to be referring to them as Carto-hotspots to bring them back into vogue

There is a lean market for Cartograms, but in some cases they're effective.  This is what we came up with years ago: Cartogram Animation

A lean market for Cartograms... There is one on ArcGIS Code Sharing... but other incarnations have not been updated or have been relegated to references in academic journals
