GeoEye Raster Type Won't Work

Question

I'm trying to add new GeoEye imagery to my mosaic dataset and using the GeoEye_1 raster type it will not read it correctly. I noticed however that DG has changed the format on their imagery for GeoEye images to match those of WV1, WV2 and QB. I'm assuming this means the program doesn't recognize the new metadata format.

What raster type should I use to add the GeoEye imagery to my mosaic dataset? (Raster dataset)?

A patch was released to resolve this issue:

Hi Sarah.

You may be hitting a new known issue:

NIM101221:  The GeoEye-1 raster type does not ingest into a mosaic dataset as a result of new metadata standards.

I would suggest you contact Esri Support to confirm.  This is resolved in 10.3.
