data zmíněná v knize nejsou k nalezení ve stažených zdrojích knihy, vezměme si například kapitolu 3, v *\chapter3 nejsou žádné gdb ani *.mxd

I don't have the book at hand but it appears to use ArcGIS Pro - there are ArcGIS Pro packages for download in chapter 4 and 5. The .mxd format is not used by ArcGIS Pro; it creates maps within a .aprx ArcGIS Pro Project file.
