Preserve Raster Quality when importing in File Geodatabase

Question

Does anyone have a solution on how to preserve image quality when importing a topo quad map into a file geodatabase. I know quality is somewhat reduced when brought into a geodatabse. Didn't know if there were any ways to improve this. Thanks.

Firstly, the raster quality is not changed significantly with the default settings, when using �??Raster to Geodatabase�??. However, you can try different parameters before loading. Pls refer to �??an overview of raster storage settings�?? from the Help.

Secondly, also advisable to try raster catalog or mosaic dataset and see if it meets your needs
