JSON to Features crashes ArcMap or Python if run from ArcPy

Question

When you run arcpy.JSON_to_features using the attached json file. It just crashes python. I am using 10.3.

The json is actually the result of this 1=1 query. Click the link and save the output to a .json file.

If you use ArcMap and try to run the JSON to features tool with the attached JSON, then it would just keep running forever and ever.

I tried with other services on sampleserver6. It works on all other services. Its just this one its crashing on.

I am seeing that it crashes on all layers in this mapservice:

Energy/Geology (MapServer) http://sampleserver6.arcgisonline.com/arcgis/rest/services/Energy/Geology/MapServer

Hi Anand,

Is this the only JSON file that you are running into issues with?  Are you able to reproduce this crash with any other JSON file?
