Time slider from Time Aware app not interactive in Story Map

I have have used the Time Aware app to create and embed a time aware map in my cascade story map. However, the time slider is not interactive, i.e., the user can not play, pause or move the time slider, which is critical to the user experience of the map. Is there a way to resolve this within the time aware settings or elsewhere? Thank you.

Hi Paige -- is this in a Cascade story? If so, there's an "Explore" button in the lower right that you'll need to click to make the app interactive. That's there so your readers don't accidentally interact with the map/app while scrolling through your story. Please let me know if this addresses your question.
