Unable to edit layer in ArcGIS online

I have a layer I created - polgyons and I want to edit the vertex's however, once I am in edit mode and select a polygon, I double click to go the the next edit view (edit vertexs) , but does not appear- just the normal square handles. Any idea as to why?

I have full admin permission to this layer that needs to be edited.

Hi Stefan, can you provide a screenshot of the issue? I'm not certain what you mean by square handles--that sounds to me like the vertexes, so a screenshot would help in understanding what you're referring to.
