How to Create Time Series from Rasters

Not sure if this is the right place to ask or not, but I have a number of Radar Rain fall shape files and raster networks and I need to create a table of time series from them, would appreciate any help as to how to do this. The ultimate product should be a shape file of grids with a specific id for each cell and a table of time series with rainfall depth for each corresponding grid id.
