HREF removed in Custom HTML

Question

I'm using Custom HTML/CSS for the header on my hub page.  I have several anchor tags in there with an HREF attribute specified, but they're not there when the page is rendered in view mode.  Seems like there's a pre-processor step that's stripping them out.  Is there any way to keeps those links on my page?

We had a bug in edit mode that was recently addressed where `#` was getting incorrectly sanitized. that should now be addressed. If you fix the broken links, does it now work?
