Is it true that there cannot be created subfolders for ArcGis Online? Not in the organisation of the layers, but for the actual application so users can open different folders and subfolders?As an example, the image attached contains two layers that I would like to be moved into the same folder. Would that not be possible?

I'm surprised you haven't received a reply to your question. You're asking why doesn't AGOL have a similar system to windows file explorer, right? Subfolders inside more general folders? Yes, this is crazy to me and I can hardly use AGOL without subfolders.
