32bit geoprocessing task on ArcGIS Server

Question

Hi,

I would like to use some of the metadata tools in arcpy however they are 32bit. Is there anyway to run a 32bit geoprocessing task on server? We have a 32bit installation of ArcEngine on the same machine but just cannot work out if this is possible?

bit of bad decision by ESRI to only have metadata tools at 32bit i think

Server has existed only as 64-bit for a long time (there are no supported ArcGIS Server builds which are not 64-bit). You can certainly invoke a 32-bit binary as you wish, but there really isn't any such thing as a "32-bit geoprocessing task" any more.

Do you mean a plain service outside of ArcGIS Server?

We would really have liked to keep it in the environment.
