custom role for data collection ONLY

Question

hi all, when attempting to create a new user role, for data collection ONLY, there have been some road blocks. The role should not allow editing of collected data on the platform.

we have attempted to create a custom role with user with "create, update and delete" options

but when the user logs into survey123 they receive the following error message :

Any thoughts on how to do this?

I would suggest creating a role with the edit privilege described by Victoria Anderson‌.

IF you only want editors to add features only, set this setting on the layer editing settings:

This did not work for our needs, unfortunately. We need the role to only allow data collection and no editing of collected data.
