Automate data export from hosted feature layer

Question

Is there a way to automate data export from a hosted feature layer? I have a hosted feature layer collected in the field via Collector and would like to export it on a daily basis through automation if possible.

Here are a few resources for downloading data from your ArcGIS Online account:

* How To: Download feature service items from ArcGIS Online using ArcGIS API for Python  - Esri Technical Support
* GitHub - tedrick/SyncSurvey: Synchronize a Hosted Feature Service to an Enterprise Geodatabase - "This script will extract the data from a Feature Service and import it into a File Geodatabase or an Enterprise Geodatabase."

You may need to update them a bit to have them run as a scheduled task - check out the forum thread here (Run Python API script as scheduled task? ) for links and discussion.
