convert lat long to utm

Question

Hello, I have my lat long in my attribute table but I need it converted to UTM for our records since we don't use lat/long. I tried this conversion tool but keep getting an unspecified error and I don't know what I am doing wrong. The lat/long values were added to the attribute table using " Add XY Coordinates" tool so they should be correct. Does anyone know why this might be happening? Thanks.

Are you sure you have decimal degrees? Would add xy coordinates not just give x y values of the web Mercator? Try calculate geometry on a new field for the lat longs then run the tool?
