Problems with fields in ArcGIS PRO

Question

Hi,

I have a csv file that is exported daily from another application. This csv file has X and Y fields, but every time I put this file in Argis PRO the field appears as Text and I can't use the XY to Point toolbox for example. Is there any way to configure this field to always be double automatically?

There is no singular standard for the CSV format, and different applications handle certain aspects of writing CSV data differently.  Some programs actually embed formatting information in the CSV file, and Pro can pick that up at times.  Can you share any of the data being exported in the CSV?  Just a couple records should suffice to see how it loads in Pro and test a couple things.
