An oblique view across a 3D scene can create huge bbox values, easily over 100,000 km^2. If the scene includes dynamic map services, the large bbox values will try to retreive many, many features. I have seen dynamic map service requests that will require 6 to 8 minutes to complete!! In a 2D map, a scale threshold can easily exclude dynamic map service requests with huge bbox values. But this does not seem to apply in a 3D scene. What can be done to handle or limit large bbox requests from 3D scenes?
