This idea is a minor change to nothing more than the messaging generated by the tool as it runs.
It would be useful and informative that when the tool runs it states in the messaging what was the initial extent and what is the newly calculated extent. This of cause could be the same set of coordinates if there was no change.
Over the many years of using this tool I have always found myself thinking, has it actually updated the extent? I know there are multiple ways to check, if it has updated the extent of the feature class, but having those two extra lines of information in the messaging would be helpful.
