Metadata Visibility in ArcGIS Online Item Details

My organization is doing a large push towards improving our metadata standards for all items in ArcGIS Online (as we all are I'm sure).

The metadata editor in ArcGIS Online has great, organized, detailed fields for users to fill out regarding metadata, things we would like included with every AGOL item. However, after taking the time to fill out the metadata in the proper fields, that information is not easily visible in the AGOL Item details. 

This defeats the purpose. I want every user to be able to click on an item and be provided its metadata immediately and easily: Data sources, methods, limitations, update frequency, etc.

We are now having to design "templates" to go into the description of an item detail page (example picture with ArcGIS Notebook). We cannot enforce the use of these templates, we cannot pre-populate the description with these templates to prompt our users, and these templates do not allow for the metadata to be easily readable for AI.

I am hoping I am missing a setting somewhere; however, I am an admin in my organization and am unable to find a way to configure this setting.

Have you already looked at the metadata that appears when one of your users clicks the "View Metadata" button on the item details page for an item they don't own? Here's where that button appears in our AGOL organization:

We're using the North American Profile as our organization's metadata standard, so when our users click on that button, they see an html document containing the data we populated:

This is not my ideal way to look at the metadata we populated in the metadata editor, but we learned from the metadata team at the User Conference this past week that the View Metadata page for Dublin Core+ metadata is more user friendly and looks more in line with the styling on other pages in ArcGIS Online and Esri sites.

If your users have access to ArcGIS Pro, they can also view the full metadata by navigating to your published item through their portal connection and clicking "View Metadata" to open the item's metadata in their Catalog view.
