The GIS Specialist supports enterprise geospatial technologies by maintaining authoritative spatial data, supporting GIS applications, and assisting with the administration, configuration, and optimization of the organization's GIS platform. This role works closely with operations, engineering, planning, and field personnel to deliver reliable geospatial solutions that improve decision-making and operational efficiency.
The position includes GIS application support, spatial analysis, data conversion, quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), GIS software administration, technical support, user training, and the development of GIS-based solutions to meet business needs. Responsibilities may also include supporting GIS integrations, automation, reporting, and enterprise geospatial workflows.
Preferred qualifications include experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Online, enterprise geodatabases, GIS application development, Python scripting, spatial analysis, data quality management, and utility-focused GIS environments. Experience with Esri Utility Network, network tracing, electric utility asset management, and supporting Utility Network implementations or migrations is highly desirable.
