The Categorized Map Tour feature popups in the map are out of sync with the selected feature in the detail list. Additional information: this is when using a basemap with a custom map extent like "neighborhood" rather than "county". This issue will also appear when using the automatic setting. This was not a problem until 6/17/2026. Please see the attached document for additional details. This issue is impacting production applications.
The fix for this bug was deployed last night. Please let us know if you are still experiencing issues with your map tours.

ArcGIS StoryMaps Map Tour with categorized layout created from a feature layer will fail to load with "Hmm there seems to be an issue" error if the Category Field is removed from the feature layer schema.
I don't believe that the mentioned solution applies in this situation. Working with Esri technical support using a new shapefile published as a hosted feature layer and a new Story Map - a new Categorized Map Tour was created and the same issue persists. This issue doesn't appear to be related to changing categories.
Yes I have also noted this issue on a previous story map that was fine, and one I am currently working on. The issue appeared right after the update.
