What's new in ArcGIS Field Maps (March 2026) release

We're live with our first release of 2026 for ArcGIS Field Maps!

This update includes the addition of geospatial PDFs to our offline experience, new and improved form elements for data capture, support for Utility Network association pop-up elements, added support for the Arcade Assistant (beta) when writing conditional logic or calculated expressions in forms and tasks.

Finally! Have been waiting for geoPDF support for years! So glad that it's been implemented for pdf's downloaded direct to the device. Now, just need to enable the markup function to be exported to something useful like a KML (Export Field Maps Markup to KML - Esri Community) and the ability to stream a markup feature from GPS location instead of just hand drawn (Create markup features from GPS location - Esri Community).

I'm also very excited about the PDFs. I noticed on Enterprise if you add a PDF to a group to can also see and download it in Field Maps now. There is just no option to enable/disable in Enterprise obviously, but using groups works fine.

However, it seems field maps does not render the PDF at its exported quality. I have a large 300DPI pdfs with small labels that are nice and crisp but when imported to Field Maps things get a bit blurry, almost unreadable. The MB size of the PDF and the download to Field Maps are the same, so it seems Field Maps simply renders it poorly?

Does the geospatial PDF functionality work from ArcGIS Enterprise, or only from ArcGIS Online?

I am testing in Enterprise 11.5 but I can't see any option in the item settings in Enterprise to choose that This is a Geospatial PDF.

I noticed if you add the PDF to a group you're part of in your enterprise
portal you'll see it in field maps.

@MaxMolello I noticed the same degradation in display quality. Hopefully future updates will improve the rendering capability.

Thanks @MaxMolello I see it now in my "Maps" list on the app, now that I've added it to a group. It just wasn't appearing in the Field Maps Designer where I was looking for it!
