Drone2Map – Images in WGS84 and GCPs in EGSA ’87 appear misaligned

Hello,

I am working in Drone2Map and I am experiencing an issue related to coordinate reference systems.

The images are georeferenced in WGS84 (EPSG:4326), while the GCPs are in EGSA ’87 / EPSG:2100. The project coordinate system is also set to EGSA ’87 (EPSG:2100).

However, when I load the flight plan, it appears in a different location, and the GCPs are displayed in another location, far from the image block. As a result, the images, flight plan, and GCPs do not align spatially.

Could you please advise on the correct workflow for handling images in WGS84 and GCPs in EGSA ’87 in Drone2Map, and whether the flight plan should be imported or reprojected in a specific way?

Hi Sofia,

Based off the coordinate systems in use you will need a transformation. Are you seeing any messaging within the processing options> coordinate systems tab? 

If you download and install the ArcGIS coordinate system data from My Esri then a transformation should become available when you set the project vertical coordinate system to HVD Height.


Please let me know if that is not the case and you still have issues with this.
