Limitations of the "Search in specific countries or regions" setting in the Search widget

The "Search in specific countries or regions" parameter in the Search widget is limited to 100 characters.
Exceeding this limit results in a search error.
Would it be possible to increase this limit to allow for more countries to be entered in this parameter?
