New Esri Power Automate Connectors

Hello,

I just watched Sean and Harry's webinar on the new capabilities of the Esri Power Automate connector. I saw that now there is a built-in connector for the ArcGIS Enterprise, and I was wondering what the benefits of it are compared to the old way of creating a custom connector.

Any tips or links are very much appreciated.

@MariusVerdes Can you maybe elaborate on your question and what you mean by building custom connector?

If you are talking about creating your own connector vs using ArcGIS Enterprise connector then you are looking at several advantages. The Enterprise connector will handle the authentication piece and you will has lot of actions that are commonly used and we are constantly adding new functionality and tools. While esri or any processes can be automated by Power Automate it will be in my opinion excessive overhead to maintain and create your own connector.

That said, There won't find such a direct comparison in the documentation. We are in process of updating our documentation, until then you can look at the ArcGIS REST API documentation for more information on how these actions are working. .
