Hi @JeffShaner,
Thanks for sharing the release updates and it is exciting to see the enhancements and fixes.
Regards,
Venkat
Hello @JeffShaner ,I am using 11.4 ArcGIS Enterprise, can i be able to download this new version, if so i am going to app store but i don't have updates for new version or seeing the new version for the download. how can we download it.
We've definitely had an issue caused today following the app update. I have logged a ticket with ESRI UK but thought I'd mention here for wider awareness. We're getting "Unable to submit - A null pointer" when editing existing records in a ArcGIS Enterprise 11.3 hosted feature service. We're able to open the same map on a device running 25.1 and it all works.
It seems to be just this specific map right now, but it's a fairly well used one so less than ideal!
Hello @JeffShaner,
Thank you for the new release!Unfortunately, since today, more than 300 of our field technicians are unable to sign in to ArcGIS Enterprise using the new FieldMaps app on iOS and Android.
We are using Enterprise Login and have tested the behavior against ArcGIS Enterprise versions 11.3 and 11.5.This issue is significantly impacting our daily operations as a utility network operator for electricity and gas in Germany. We have already opened a support case with Esri Germany (Esri Case #04012154).On iOS, the error message displayed is: "Invalid redirect URI".Is this a bug in the new version, or do we need to adjust our portal configuration?
We would greatly appreciate a prompt response.
Thank you!
Where can I learn more about the new "streamlined experience when working with Trimble GNSS receivers" in the 25.2.0 update?
Thanks!
I've found that 25.2.0 has better, more detailed error logging! It even has a 'verbose' slider.
Aside from other features I'm already very happy with this.
We are also having login and major performance issues with 25.2. Tickets have been submitted but forcing a new login all the sudden is causing problems for offline workers. Also it seems on Android saved Enterprise URL's were cleared and users now need to reenter them. SAML login in certain cases also seems to not work. There are also major map layer performance problems, we're seeing 4x slower load and draw speed.
We are experiencing issues as well with users signing into the Field Maps app after this release was pushed out to all users. We have about 200 field workers that use this app since we are an Oil and Gas company, and some are having to wait over an hour before it finally signs them in again using single sign-on with our organization's Enterprise URL. I am noticing that users that are not on the latest iOS Version 26, myself included, are not having the same issues that users who are the latest iOS Version 26 are encountering.
@ericjetter About "Invalid redirect URI" issue, as far as I know, the redirect URI didn't change between previous market version and current update. Can you share with me the troubleshooting log when you run into sign in failure? Do you use MDM?
I have noticed as well this morning that my profile in field maps was wiped out with this update and had to re-enter the enterprise URL and rebuild my collection profile for GPS collection. We also use an offline "map book" for the field and there is now a gridded background that interferes with the parcel lines on my vector tile package we use. Is there a way to turn this grey gridded background off? old plain white backgroundnew gridded backgroundanother gridded background shot
Did feature search change? In our WebMaps, searching for features no longer works, nothing comes up when queries (e.g. pipe segment IDs) are entered.
Reporting issues with SAML sign in to Field Maps following the 25.2.0 release
Adding to report issues since update. My team uses this and all who have been pushed the update are unable to view records from a Hosted Layer. They can be searched for, but they cannot be edited. We work inside a SAML system, and the overnight AGOL update seems to have broken our application.
Can ESRI provide a downgrade option?
None of our field staff can login to Field Maps after upgrading to this latest version. This is a huge issue for us today as it's stopped field work. Trying to login with Enterprise just shows a "Sign in Error" page. Based on posts above we don't seem to be the only ones. This was also confirmed by Esri Support. Hopefully this can be resolved very soon or rolled back. Thank you!
Also having search issues @millerjs2 Our map is saved in 11.3, but only a Map Viewer Classic map.Field users apps have updated before mine so I haven't been able to test it yet, but users are reporting no search resultsEdit:I've pretty well confirmed it's only affecting layers that are in layer groups:
Republishing with those layers outside the layer group - searching works. Moving one back in to the layer group and republishing and searching doesn't work on that layer
Edited: Original post was on the initial update.
Edited 25.2.1Update
After the original Android update 25.2.1. One of our field staff reported that the taking photo attachments is causing crashing on a Samsung Galaxy Active Tab 3. I got an update from our field staff and after further use seems like it caused the screen to turn back, and they have reverted to the Samsung Camera.
Post 25.2.3 Update:
The camera crashing issue seems to be mostly fixed, but there seem to be other related crashing issues with photos related to more complex activities.
We are unable to search for features now as well. Searching for feature layers work, but not map image layers.
We have noticed that the Android version of Field Maps is at 25.2.1 and everything seems to be working fine. Unfortunately, most of our users are on IOS 18, 18.7 or 18.7.1 and are having SSL certificate issues.
I hope a hot fix gets implemented soon. I have a large number of field users that no longer have a URL preloaded through our MDM on iOS devices. We have also turned off our auto updates due to this issue.
@JeffShaner has Esri made any type of an official announcement that addresses the issues that a lot of us are experiencing with this new version? Is there any planned fix or solutions that address the issues we've listed above? Most of my user's reported it taking over an hour for them to finally be able to get logged into Field Maps, and I had one report on Wednesday that it finally logged in after 2.5 hours of waiting. I am hoping these issues are addressed soon since this application is critical for our field users working with our pipelines.
@LeeIrminger4_de,
We have had other users report problems with signing into SAML environments. While we investigate options for a fix, there is a workaround that has worked for others. Do you use an MDM? If so, you can include the parameter `useInAppAuth = false`. If that does not work, or you don't use an MDM, let me know.
@ToriMetz
Can you describe what you're seeing a bit more? Are you using an MDM with the 'portalURL' parameter and that is no longer getting passed when launching the app? Or did the url show up in a list of previous enterprise urls and that list has been cleared out? What MDM environment are you using?
We've noticed that on iPads, when going into edit mode, the Smartform only takes up about a quarter of the screen, instead of the full screen. We really, really prefer the full-screen mode, as the new quarter-screen mode scrunches the text and thus requires more vertical scrolling to get through the form. Is this configurable??? I really want to go back to the previous version's look.
Hi @PaulPetersen1 ,
What's the size/version of the ipads you are using?
Hi @ChrisDunn1 , the are 12" iPad Pros

Some additional, noteworthy changes within this release:
@ChrisDunn1 I can speak more to Tori's issue. We were passing a portal URL parameter with MDM. After users updated the app to 25.2.0, the URL to our Portal that had been in the list of available portals was no longer there. Users could still connect to the Portal if they happened to enter their username and password again when prompted, but if the users were previously signed out or chose the Skip option, they no longer see the portal from the selection menu when they try to Sign in with ArcGIS Enterprise. The users are able to manually enter the Portal URL and connect.
Hello,Since the update from 25.1 to 25.2 and today to 25.2.1. we are seeing features while the layer is off. Is there a way to reinstall version 25.1 (iOS)?
We have released the following patch updates:
We're actively working on several additional issues you've reported with the intent to release patches as soon as possible. This includes but is not exclusive to:
Thank you again for contacting Esri Support and reporting your issues so we can track and notify you when we have them resolved.
Please continue to follow this community thread for additional updates.
Hey, a lot of my field workers are on Android version 25.2 and are experiencing an issue with a particular map which worked fine before the update. When clicking on take photo or attach (anything) the following error is shown:We are also now experiencing an issue where the minus sign is not available on a double type field
This error was directly after the update to the new version of Field Maps and seems to only be this map service. I have tried to copy it and the errors remain. I have tested on my iPhone and it works normally.
