Fire Pre Plan Solution and Accela software interface

Question

Our department is working on the Esri fire pre plan solution and at the same time we are currently transitioning to the Accela software platform for permitting and inspections.  Are we able to leverage any building permit data and plans that we keep in Accela with the Esri pre plan solution?

We are in the development stages of Accela and now is the time to create any fields for capturing ideal pre plan data.

Our GIS Division  in Mecklenburg County, NC is working with the county's Code Enforcement Division to use ArcGIS Experience Builder to create web apps to display the plan review, permit, and inspection data from Accela.

The above app is an example of using the fire plan review data from Accela; it was created by our GIS Division for the Charlotte Fire Department.

Another example is in the attachment screenshot; it is Mecklenburg County Residential Permitting.

Hi Jim,

One of the first steps of the Pre-Incident Planning Solution is to load your building footprints into the Pre-Incident Plans layer that is included with the solution:

This layer can definitely be extended with additional attributes if you want to include permits and has attachments enabled too if you load in other plans associated.  There is not a ton of requirement for data fields for loading but I would take a look at that layer in the solution and see the attributes we supply and what you may want to add before loading.
