"Send To" Option Under Right Click Layer/Raster/Table etc. options

The "send to" option in general can be useful for multiple purposes in layout and map view or even from a geodatabase, when right clicking on a layer/raster/table and etc. This can for example avoid doing copy paste and can be a more direct method for certain actions.

Hi @Ed_! Thanks for submitting this Idea. Would you be able to provide a bit more info on what context you would expect to see / use this? I'm wondering how this would differ from the "Add to map" workflow. Are you thinking about it in terms of sharing, say as an email?

Hi Valeria, happy Friday, thank you for the follow up. So, yes this is different from `Add to map`, this is more like the option you have in Windows right click options, however the Send To options will differ in this case.

For example, currently you have to do a copy paste for data under the contents pane or the geodatabase. Let's say if i have to copy something from map 1 to 2 i have to do a copy paste. So, instead of doing a copy paste you can have an option like the user right clicks on the data > selects Send To > Map > Select Map. You can do the same for layouts as well. Right click on the data > select Send To > Layout > Select Layout.

This can help reduce the steps involved in copy paste and/or when you have more than one map/layout

Other use case options can be added to Send To as well. For example, right click feature class > Send To > shapefile compressed as a zip file to a desired path.
