Page elements in different spots in preview

The above is the preview. Why do page elements not stay where I have them in the page (below)?

All I'm doing is adding Text and Images to a Sidebar. I'm not sure what Kept within the parent container does, but it doesn't seem to have any effect.

Add a Column Widget and place everything inside it. That is going to make all the other Widgets behave better.

@JeffreyThompson2 Thanks for the idea. I guess I could have avoided all that and simply created one big image of all the text and images!
