Run Analysis Button Greyed Out In Buffer/Drive Time Tool

Greetings All -

I'm using the ArcGIS map native to PowerBI desktop and trying to create a Buffer/Drive time analysis showing a 45 minute drive time analysis around each of 6 locations. Markers for each location are showing correctly on the map (the Streets basemap) and labels are all correct. However, even after making all the needed selections in the Drive Time dialog box, the Run Analysis button is greyed out. Hovering over it doesn't display any messages. I'm using the following options in the Buffer/Drive time analysis dialog box:

Input layer: lat/long coordinates of the locations
Analysis type: Driving Time, 45.0 minutes
Use Traffic: Do not use traffic
Travel direction: Away from location
Buffer style: Overlap

I'm new to ArcGIS and GIS in general so I'm pretty sure there's something I'm missing. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi, Sorry to hear that you didn't get help in time. Yes, you will need to select the location(s) that you want to run analysis on. Depending on the size and complexity of the geometry it might take a bit to run ring buffer, drivetime buffer for 45 minutes might take a some time. It should throw you an error if you are not selecting a geometry letting you know to select one.

Let us know if you were not able to see that and I will test it.

On a side not you need to be logged in and have appropriate permissions to run analysis tools which you already have since you were able to run it.

Lots of views but no help. No worries, think I figured out why the button is greyed out - have to click on locations or add points to get it going.
