How can ArcGIS Server be registered using a web adaptor URL? It looks like in Monitor 2023, you could specify the URL used (https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/2023.3/get-started/windows/register-arcgis-server.htm), but in 2024, that ability no longer exists (https://doc.arcgis.com/en/monitor/2024.0/get-started/windows/register-arcgis-server.htm).

This is expected because in ArcGIS Monitor 2024, we now require you to install AM Agent on the ArcGIS Server host. The AM Agent communicates locally with the GIS Server.Hope this helps,
