The Tahoe GIS User Group meeting brought together 40+ GIS professionals and enthusiasts from across the Tahoe Region for a half-day of learning and collaboration. Attendees spanned various sectors, including government, nonprofits, private consultants, and academia.
Presentations highlighted innovative projects such as Geo AI and AI Assistants, the Nevada Trail Finder, and the Tahoe Basin Stream Catchment Database. Topics also included using CalTopo for Search and Rescue, streamlining SEZ data collection, trail planning in the Sequoias, wildfire resilience, and improving public access to geospatial data through Open Data and Portals.
