Accessibility Improvements for Zone Lookup

Question

Hello,

Is there a way for Esri Developers to add in code so that the "x" and "^^" buttons in the Zone Lookup Instant app have accessible names that are compatible with screen readers?

Also, is there a way to create a discernible name for the logo in the header of the Zone Lookup Instant App? This is an example of the logo/link we are using in a Nevada Legislature app:

Thanks @HaleyProehl! I have logged an issue to add an aria-label to the expand/shrink button on the mobile results panel and our team will look into adding an option to add a title for logo links in our app configuration.

Thank you for confirming the Close button is read properly by screen readers and apologies for the lack of clarity on the Expand/Shrink button. It is the button that appears in place of the Close button in the top right corner of the popup window/search results when in Mobile View.

And thank you for looking into the ability to add text-based context to the logo link!

Hi @HaleyProehl, thanks for reaching out on these items for Zone Lookup.

- Close button: I see that the underlying button component does have an unused aria-label, which is what the accessibility scan is flagging. However, in testing this with VoiceOver on Mac, the button does have a "Close" label that is read by the screenreader.

- Expand/shrink button: This may be related to the same issue as the Close button, but could you confirm which tool is the image is referencing so that I can verify?

- Logo link: We will look into the ability to add text-based context to the logo link in our app configuration.
