How do I embed a map into story maps?

Hey guys,

I am working on a project for my web mapping class, and I want to put a map in the side panel of my Journal Story Map.

Example: The Age of Megacities

How do I do this? I have tried many times but have been so far unsuccessful.

At this time, that configuration is only possible if you download and customize the app code. Here's a blog post that describes how to do it:

this blog post shows a dialog of the side panel and inserting a png, but there are buttons there to insert other things.
