I am not given the option to add a later from a file. Would love help.

Hello! When I try to add a layer, it gives me four choices, not five. They are:

from URL

sketch

route

media

 

This is my new account; when I took a course, my educational account had the add from file option. There is no option to add from a file, from my computer! Please advise, thank you.

Hi Anna,

You need to log in with an ArcGIS organization account to see the option to add a layer from a file. 

If you are logged out, you'll see:

and if you are logged in with an ArcGIS organization account, you'll see this:

If you logged in with a free public account, you will not have the option to add a layer from a file.
