Sourcing Basemaps

Question

What is the industry standard for sourcing Esri basemaps? I know we can find the credits online, sources change depending on the geographic extent. Should we use the standard credits from online or copy the sources in pro every time based on the extent? Same question for sourcing the date of the basemap.

Right but dynamic text doesn't include dates, and sometimes doesn't follow our writing standards (e.g. dynamic shows user community, but we write User Community).

Where are you using this information, in a written report? If you're making a layout or something in Pro, you can have dynamic text that always updates to show the map credits.
