Unable to delete items in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1

Question

Hello,

I have a problem while trying to delete some layers from a folder in ArcGIS Enterprise 11.1. When I try to delete the items all at once from the portal page I get the following error "Some items were not deleted because they are delete protected or have dependent items.". They are not delete protected because I checked each of them.

And when I try to delete the items individually from the items settings I get an error saying "Unable to delete".

Does anyone else faced this problem before?

Hi @GregoryKim ,

Sorry for the very late response. In the end, I was able to resolve the issue. First, try to perform a FULL reindex of the Portal Content via the Portaladmin API - see if this will resolve the situation (didn't work in my case).

Secondly, you can try to manually delete items in the Portal Directory (be very careful). Find the Alphanumeric ID corresponding to the item you wish to remove, so that you don't remove the wrong content!
